Greetings! I’m Jessica.

Jessica Mastors is an executive career coach, storytelling expert, narrative strategist, business advisor, angel investor, wilderness guide, and client-designated “guru in all things communication.”

In a modern business context that is often volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous, Jessica is a powerful advocate for the power and magic of storytelling to build trust and credibility, connect dots in new ways, illustrate the possible future, and identify solutions for problems that have never been solved before.

As the founder of Story Magic, Jessica partners with CEO’s, executives, creatives, and thought leaders across industries to excavate the true stories (and build the skills of narrative intelligence) that move decision makers to say YES. Her unique and creative approach has been leveraged by clients and partners across the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and South America to secure the buy-in, funding, partners, contracts, roles and referrals that mattered most for their careers and businesses.

As an adjunct storytelling and career coach at U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business, and facilitator for several other top-tier universities in the U.S. and abroad, Jessica has mentored hundreds of M.B.A’s and professionals to help them take ownership of their career stories, articulate their unique value, and successfully negotiate leadership and C-suite level positions at companies like Nike, Lyft, Amazon, PayPal, Google, and Netflix.

Seeking to democratize access to her powerful methodologies, in 2021 Jessica created Own Your Story 2.0: a transformative 6-week online storytelling accelerator that walks you step-by-step through her proven M.A.G.I.C.C. method for telling simple, concise, and impactful personal stories in business and in life. While the live accelerator won’t open again until Spring 2022, the self-guided version is available now on demand.

Outside of work, Jessica is a WFR-certified wilderness guide, international adventurer and nature enthusiast. Her philosophy is deeply informed by the dozens of “bucket list” adventures she has successfully executed over the years, including thru-hiking the 2,000+ mile Appalachian Trail in 2012, and cycling 14,000+ miles from San Francisco to the southern tip of South America — while working remotely. She lives in the NYC area with her husband, daughter, and southern painted turtle, Fred.
